Last week was magical.

I was invited to serve on a panel for Ozarks Teacher Corps. This eager group of new teachers--getting ready to embark on their respective rural school journeys--welcomed us with open arms at the Springfield Nature Center.

I was able to revisit my why, see some old friends from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, and recall why Sense of Place work is so valuable to me in my professional journey.

Ultimately, I was also able to remember a special lady named Norma Eden who brought the magic to education for me back some 50 plus years ago--when third grade Kimmy found a sense of adventure, wonder, excitement and fun around every learning corner that came her way.

Norma Eden is this week's Unsung Hero for me. Who's yours?

Feel free to reach out and tell them.
